We’re located near the town of Palmdale in southwest Florida. We are in a remote wildlife area but that doesn’t mean you have to rough it. Our campground has sites in three distinct areas. RV sites are closest to the main entrance. Primitive tent sites are north and south of the entrance. North tent sites are close to or on the Swimming Hole’s waterfront. Some of the tent sites on the south have direct water access to the Creek. All sites have picnic tables and access to the best playground of all – Mother Nature!

National Park Campground Info The national park service offers a nice primitive campground about 1. There are no hook-ups, but water faucets are scattered around the park. This is a beautiful campground full of large Eucalyptus and Dollar Eucalyptus trees providing lots of shade. Most of the sites will accept RV’s up to about 28′, but there are a few you can “shoe-horn” larger rigs if needed.

Your group will get its own location on the grounds for the duration of your stay. Buildings are available with kitchen and restroom facilities. If the onsite convenience store is closed they have firewood and ice at the entrance ranger station. We stayed at the back of the park along the bay and had decent cell coverage on ATT and Verizon. If your looking for a dog park you wont find one here.
Its literally a maintenance road that they allow your dog to run up and down off leash. It was better than nothing, I must say, but not a dog park LOL The town of La Conner is really close to the park but has more of a touristy type feel and small shops. Really nice post office and the postal lady was really friendly. Major shopping and restaurants can be found nearby in the town of Mt Vernon, approx.
Amenities There is a big indoor family center, with comfy sofas, hot coffee, ping pong table, big screen projection TV and a hot tub outside around the corner. Outdoor activities which included basketball court, fishing, horseshoes, picnic areas, mini golf, playground, trails and beach access. Would we stay again?

Eight campgrounds are conveniently located around Tuttle Creek Lake. All campgrounds contain level campsites, with picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. Shower and water-borne toilet buildings are located in most parks. The most developed campground, a favorite of recreation vehicle users, is River Pond State Park, with over one hundred hookup sites and level paved camp pads.

If you have a diesel your mileage decrease will not be quite as drastic, but on long trips you should still plan more frequent stops for fuel. A full fresh water, black and gray tank can be several thousand pounds of additional weight on your RV and tow vehicle. If you need Wi-Fi access there are plenty of places to get connected for free. Libraries, travel plazas, McDonalds and Starbucks are a few spots you can get online.
Del Valle Regional Park, part of the East Bay Regional Park District, is located in a valley framed by oak-covered hills. The centerpiece of the park is a five-mile long lake, with all kinds of water-oriented recreation, surrounded by 4, acres of beautiful land for hiking, horseback riding, and nature study.

A trail leads around the lagoon, offering wonderful opportunity for bird watching. Other trails lead through the dunes and out to the beach. Near the campground entrance is the Nature Center. Hands-on exhibits held visitors learn more about the local wildlife, plants, and the Chumash culture. Walks led by docents often originate there.
Are you looking for a full hookup for your trailer. Then Trailer Village seems like the place for you to check out. It is the only campground in the Grand Canyon National Park with full hookups.
No one under the age of 16 is allowed to operate a vehicle without adult accompaniment.
